Who You Are

The employee experience is a strategic pillar for GPS Trackit we are seeking an individual to play a leadership role in bringing to life our company values and culture.  The Senior HR Generalist/Business Partner will play a key role in delivering Human Resources programs to employees, facilitating processes, and managing the day-to-day operations of the HR function.

Where You Are (Location)

This position is eligible for a primary telecommuting arrangement, however, must be able to work in the office, when necessary, without extra commuting costs (airfare/mileage, etc.). Strong preference for candidates in the Lakeland, FL area; we are also open to candidates in Atlanta, GA metro area.

What You’ll Do

HR Operations

  • Plans and executes activities related to the processing of payroll including time and attendance, applying payroll changes, facilitating the review and approval of payroll with Finance, assisting employees and managers with their payroll questions and requests.
  • Administers benefit programs and related compliance activities, while serving as primary contact with providers and employees; ensures a smooth enrollment process for new hires and annual open enrollment. 
  • Maintains employee and organizational data in HRIS and other systems; provides necessary reporting to the organization; maintains employee files according to requirements and record retention; keeps job descriptions up to date, accurate and compliant.
  • Administer any leave of absence for qualifying employees, including FMLA, Military, STD, LTD, and Worker’s Compensation.

Employee Experience

  • Facilitate the employee onboarding process to ensure the employee has a positive experience and has all the training and equipment to operate effectively within the company and role.
  • Support and administer employee engagement programs including recognition and monthly engagement activities.
  • Coordinate the exit process including communication with the employee regarding the exit process, processing the change with all necessary vendors, and conducting exit interviews.

Talent Acquisition

  • Manage the talent acquisition process including develop position criteria with the hiring manager, post jobs and source candidates, review and screen candidates, schedule interviews and prepare offer letters. 
  • Manage onboarding process to include background check, drug screen, reference checks.

Talent Management

  • Implements the performance management process to ensure all employees understand how their role contributes to achieving company goals, receive regular feedback, and are actively developing new skills, knowledge, and experiences. Assist managers through employee performance improvement process.
  • Identify leadership, supervisor, and professional development needs and secure training opportunities through third parties or conduct training internally.
  • Administers compensation programs and processes in alignment with the total compensation strategy. This includes activities such as external benchmarking and market pricing, FLSA evaluation, annual merit review process, incentive plans, and pay equity. 

Policies and Compliance

  • Monitor and keep current the employee handbook and employment related policies to ensure they are compliant.
  • Work with managers and employees to comply with the employee handbook and employment related policies.
  • Provide counsel, assistance, and problem- resolution to employees at all levels, guided by company policies, labor-law legislation and state and federal agency requirements.
  • Handles investigation and resolution of employee issues, concerns, and conflicts.

What Should You Have:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business or equivalent program.  
  • 2-5 years’ work experience in Human Resources
  • Prior experience with payroll, benefits, HRIS systems and compliance
  • Ability to travel up as needed
  • Professional HR certification such as PHR or SHRM-CP preferred
  • Skills & Experience:

  • Proven ability to manage multiple projects or tasks simultaneously with strong organization skills and attention to detail
  • Influence and communication skills with a variety of audiences.?
  • Ability to respectfully challenge points-of-view when necessary and offer alternative, constructive suggestions.
  • Advanced user of computer applications such as Excel, PowerPoint, Google suite, and HRIS systems.
