Volunteering offers vital help to people and organizations in need, provides various assistance to worthwhile causes and positively impacts our community. But, did you know what else volunteering does? Volunteering actually helps reduce stress, keep you mentally stimulated and provides a sense of purpose. As a contributor to the community, Mid-Florida SHRM looks for local opportunities to engage with our community and assist where needed.
Below you will find the current volunteer opportunities available through Mid-Florida SHRM. Please reach out to the contact person for each initiative to get involved!
VISTE: Various opportunities quarterly / Contact William Hamrick to sign up.
• 1st quarter: (February) volunteer to help out with Viste Ball in the Sun ‘N Fun Hanger
• 2nd quarter: (June) we could help pack and/or deliver personal care boxes.
• 3rd quarter: (August or September) we could pack and/or deliver food boxes.
• 4th quarter: (November and/or later in December) group delivery of Thanksgiving meals. We could also participate in the Holiday Fun activities by chaperoning clients to dinner and a concert or purchasing or delivering Christmas wishes for clients.Florida BPA SLC - Judges Needed: February 9, 2019 / Hilton at Lake Buena Vista / Contact Matina Wagner to sign up.
