Summary: HR professionals are often called to negotiate externally with vendors and suppliers, and internally with colleagues, the C-suite, and employees. However, most of us have never been taught how to negotiate well and we may even fear sliding into manipulation and cynicism. In this fast-paced presentation, you'll learn great strategies for effective, ethical negotiation and also discover the tricks that may have been used on you in the past so you don't fall prey to them again! We have to understand the psychology at play during the negotiation process and that includes our own preferences and temptations. So start the new year with a skill that should have been taught to you long ago and make 2019 a year in which you negotiate better!

Speaker Bio: J. Lenora Bresler is a leadership and engagement speaker, trainer, and coach. An attorney at age 20, she holds the highest earned certifications in both the speaking industry (the coveted CSP certified speaking professional designation held by fewer than 800 people worldwide) and the human resource profession, holding the SHRM-SCP, and SPHR.
