HR’s Role and Liability with Employee Financial Wellness Education

  • As the HR leader, what do you say to encourage the employee to take personal responsibility for their benefits and retirement planning?
  •  How does HR educate without taking on a role of liability?
  • What does HR need to know about the current status of social security, Medicare/Medicaid, pension benefits and as these programs decrease in benefit and dwindle, is this the perfect storm for the employee’s future, given a volatile economy combined with high interest rates and inflation and the fact that we are living longer?


Carmen is affiliated with Meridian Wealth Management (RIA, Registered Investment Advisory Firm). She is licensed in Life/Health. Carmen obtained Masters of Science Degree in Management from Georgia State University (1991) in Organizational Behavior. She holds her PHR, RICP, ChFC and IAR.

     When not working Carmen enjoys time with family, church family,   traveling and MARATHON running!
