Speaker: Dr. Katherine Loh


The presentation is highly interactive. The presenter will be utilizing an assortment of engaged learning techniques to pull participants into the material. These may include small group discussion and case studies. Drawing from established research on Culture Shock, participants will learn about the phases of Culture Shock. They will also understand what it means to be “stuck” in each of these phases, how to “get out of it”, and what this all means from an organizational and leadership perspective.


Bio:

Dr. Katherine Loh is an Assistant Professor in the Communication Department of Florida Southern College. An educator with 30 years of experience in higher education, she has been teaching at Florida Southern College since 2010. Dr. Loh also serves as the NCAA Faculty Athletics Representative for FSC and is the Sunshine State Conference representative to the NCAA Division II Management Council. Outside of academia, Dr. Loh is a founding Board member of the Pan-American Lacrosse Association and currently serves as the President of Peru Lacrosse Association, the national governing body of lacrosse in Peru. She also serves as a member of the World Lacrosse DEI Commission.
