Bio:
Katie joined the Lakeland Economic Development Council in January 2022. Prior to her role at the LEDC, she served as the President & CEO of the Winter Haven Chamber of Commerce for 8 years. Her career has included work in hospitality management, insurance, banking, healthcare administration and strategic marketing and communications.
When she graduated from the University of Central Florida and returned to Polk County, she actively engaged in the community. Over the course of the last 15 years, she founded the Winter Haven Young Professionals Group, served as the Winter Haven Chamber Foundation president for two terms and graduated Polk Vision’s Leadership Polk Class VI and chaired Class IX. She is known for her education advocacy and has served on the district’s sales tax advisory committee as well as the inaugural class of InsidePCPS. At the state level, she has served on the board of the Florida Chamber of Commerce as well as several other government committee appointments. Her philanthropic board service spans non-profits focused on everything from puppies, to children to health.
